![]() Nevertheless my faith in B&W is restored. There is a disconnect between HQ and resellers around the world, they need to pick up their game. I'd have thought adopt more alignment to HQ would be more prudent a move in light of the runaround I've had to deal with. I could be mistaken but it sounded like more adversity for the customer instead. Local reseller reckons they would need to make mods regarding future after sales matters. Will get final confirmation tomorrow that things are moving to my expectations (have to be careful to coordinate these groups across national borders!). This without me having to call the superior in HK. Coincidently in parallel, I got a reply from the local reseller that in a gesture of goodwill they would waive the repair charges. I too got a reply from Ms Grant and she was great in ensuring she would instruct the right dept to deal with this asap. B&W is living up to their great customer service levels. So I await another 12 hours to call B&W Group Asia in HK. A superior in that office would be in the position to authorise the repair under warranty. It is essentially the B&W Hong Kong office. They gave another contact in B&W Group Asia for me to liaise with, who covers this Asia market region. This I agreed wholeheartedly as being the root of the problem. ![]() However since my local country distributor is the one resisting the repairs citing B&W did not approve it, they felt this was what needed to be addressed immediately since they didn't see why it wouldn't be approved. They acknowledged that it was faulty and would simply need to be serviced. However for my case, since I was not in UK, they could not simply pick up my unit. ![]() With that out of the way we discussed about the 2 year warranty and they confirmed that this was so, especially for the UK. They should be commended for this fact alone, for not simply denying there is an issue resulting in a runaround which is what most technical support dept do. The positive is that they recognised the symptoms of the problem without hesitation. I got through to B&W UK Technical Service & Support and yes they were friendly. UK owners received superior service compared to owners in other locations with fast acknowledgment of problems, free courier pickup and fast turnarounds. Thus far, within the month of April, B&W has addressed most of the warranty repairs for the group of owners above with most reporting good after sales service experiences with B&W UK (the technical/service support hotline 01903 221700).
